The Hahn Home is a residential project in Utah for a family of three and the possibility of a live-in relative later on. The home site is located on a beautiful vista with views of mountains and nature. The redesign of the interior spaces focused on maintaining an open environment so that the views of the vista can be seen throughout the entirety of the home.
Design Concept Statement
The redesign of the Hahn home focused first on the beautiful vista views and maintaining those views throughout the home. The main floor is where the master bedroom and children's bedroom is located as well as the most "communal" spaces. The kitchen, living room and dining room are all interconnected spaces within the home, each with views out to the vistas. Circulation throughout is meant to be open with an emphasis on the shared spaces within the home.
The lower level was designed with the intention of separation from the main floor. The lower floor consists of ADA-compliant kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom as well as a living area or game room for the family.
